Getting In

Do Dubai clubs have an age limit?
Yes — you must be 21 years or older to enter most nightclubs and bars in Dubai. Some venues (especially hotel bars) allow entry from 18+. Always carry your passport or Emirates ID — bouncers do check.
Can tourists go clubbing in Dubai?
Absolutely. Dubai’s nightlife is very tourist-friendly. You do not need a residency visa to go to bars or clubs. Alcohol is served in licensed venues and is legal for non-Muslims visiting tourist establishments. Just bring your passport.
Do I need to book a table in advance?
For popular venues on weekends (Thursday to Saturday), table bookings are strongly recommended. Without a booking, you may face long queues or be turned away after midnight. Use Platinumlist for most venues. For smaller or midweek events, walk-in is usually fine.
What documents do I need?
Your passport or Emirates ID is required to prove age. Some venues may ask for both. Keep a photo of your passport on your phone as backup. There is no alcohol ban for tourists in licensed venues.

Ladies Night

What is ladies night in Dubai?
Ladies night is a widespread Dubai tradition where women receive free entry and/or complimentary drinks on specific evenings. Wednesday is the biggest with 18+ venues offering free entry and free drinks. It happens every night of the week at different venues — 100% legal and very popular.
Which night has the best ladies night deals?
Wednesday is peak ladies night with the most venues and best deals. Monday and Tuesday are also strong. See our full ladies night guide with all venues sorted by night.
Do deals change? How do I verify?
Yes — ladies night deals change seasonally and sometimes without notice. We update our guide monthly, but always verify directly with the venue before going. Call them, check their Instagram or send a DM.

Practical Tips

Is alcohol expensive in Dubai?
Yes — alcohol in licensed venues is more expensive than most Western cities due to licensing fees and taxes. Expect AED 60–100 for a cocktail, AED 50–80 for a beer. Budget AED 200–400 for drinks on a regular night out.
How do I get home after a night out?
The Dubai Metro closes around midnight. After that, Careem is your best option — reliable, cheap (AED 30–80 depending on distance) and available 24/7. Drunk driving is a zero-tolerance offence in Dubai with severe penalties.
Can I drink in public in Dubai?
No. Drinking alcohol in public spaces is illegal in Dubai and can result in arrest. Alcohol consumption is only permitted inside licensed venues. Being visibly drunk in public is also an offence.
